Matei Vișniec is a Romanian-French playwright, poet and journalist living in Paris. He is internationally known especially for his writings in the French language. He graduated in 1980 from the History and Philosophy Faculty of the University of Bucharest.

The uncut version of the documentary captures in a unique way the return of the author of the play “The bread pocket“, after more than 30 years, to the places that inspired the subject of the dramatic text, in the town of Dorobanțu – Platărești in Romania. It is the first project in a series of portrait documentaries.
